This BNTECHGO 18 AWG magnet wire is excellent quality and worked perfectly for building a balun for my antenna system. The enameled copper wire is consistently gauged throughout with a smooth, even coating. No thin spots or inconsistencies that would cause issues. The enamel insulation is durable and holds up well to winding around cores without flaking or cracking. The wire is flexible enough to work with easily but maintains its shape once wound. Stripping the enamel when making connections is straightforward with a lighter or scraping. Good choice for coils
This seems to be very good quality wire. It was malleable and the enamel was rugged. I got no enamel flacking or cracking when winding 1.5 inch coils for ham radio use. Even 180 degree bends were crack free. I'll buy more.
